Which PDF tool do you need?
The PDF tools cover three jobs: building a PDF, changing which pages it contains, and tidying the pages you keep.
- Building a PDF: JPG to PDF Converter and PNG to PDF Converter turn photos, scans or screenshots into one document, one page per image. Merge PDF Files joins PDFs that already exist, in the order you add them.
- Changing the page set: Split PDF — Extract Pages and Extract Pages from PDF both save only the pages you list, such as 1-3, 5. Delete Pages from PDF works the other way round: you list the pages to drop and keep the rest.
- Tidying: Rotate PDF Pages turns every page by the angle you choose, and Add Page Numbers to PDF stamps a "page / total" label at the bottom of each page.
Neighbouring tools are easy to mix up. If your pages are still images, use JPG to PDF Converter rather than Merge PDF Files, which only accepts PDFs. To keep two pages out of forty, extracting is quicker to type; to remove two, deleting is. When a document needs several steps, change the pages first, then rotate, and add page numbers last so the total matches the final file.
Every tool processes the file in your browser and downloads the result directly, so contracts, ID scans and bank statements are never uploaded. A password-protected PDF may fail to load; remove the password in your PDF reader first.
